Another Gospel
In the book of Galatians, Paul marveled that the churches of Galatia were turning to “another gospel” (Galatians 1:6). They had been faithful to the true gospel, but were turning to and proclaiming a different way of salvation. To accept this perverted plan of salvation meant that they would be lost, cut off from God and Christ.
There are many churches and religious groups today teaching different plans of salvation. They cannot be right because they contradict and are opposed to each other in their basic teaching. This means that there are perverted gospels being taught in the name of Christ.
What gospel are you following, the true gospel as set forth in the New Testament, or one perverted with the doctrines of men? There is only one way to find out. Compare what you have been taught with what Jesus taught and then obey the doctrine of Christ. “As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).
